Mercedes-Benz E-Class pricing and specifications

Pricing for the facelifted Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been released, with buyers set to save between $7000 to $23,000 compared with the previous model.
At $79,900 (including GST, any LCT but excluding on-road costs) the entry level Mercedes-Benz E 200, maintains its previous manufacturer’s list price.

This is despite new standard features of a Euro 6-compliant 135kW/300Nm (+30Nm) 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, partial LED head lights, auto dimming and folding mirrors, Avantgarde styling, active park assist, blind spot assist and collision prevention assist, and a sports package with 18-inch alloy wheels.
At $82,400 sits the diesel-powered E 220 CDI. With the same level of standard equipment as the E 200 petrol, the 125kW/400Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel E 220 CDI sees a reduction in price of $2400, which Mercedes-Benz says equates to a total value increase of close to $10,000.

With 150kW and now 350Nm (+40Nm), the updated E 250 at $97,400 adds full LED headlights, memory front seats, keyless start, an Artico dashboard and a sports package with 19-inch alloy wheels. Further safety aids include adaptive cruise control with steering assist and a range of Pre-safe autonomous braking technologies with active pedestrian protection and junction assist.
Repositioned under the $100,000 mark at $99,900, the E 250 CDI mirrors the standard specification of the E 250 petrol but the 150kW/500Nm 2.1-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel model offers customers around $18,000 of added value over the previous generation.

Delivering efficiency figures of 4.3 litres per 100km and 113g of CO2 per kilometre, the $109,900 E 300 BlueTec Hybrid is the new emissions benchmark in large cars.
Powered by a 150kW/500Nm four-cylinder turbo-diesel unit tied to an electric motor that produces a further 20kW and 250Nm, the E 300 BlueTec Hybrid combines the fuel saving benefits of a diesel engine over long distances and at higher speeds with the advantages of a hybrid vehicle in stop-start city traffic, all while ensuring interior dimensions and luggage capacity remain unchanged.
The introduction of the $129,900 E 400 sees the outgoing model’s six- and eight-cylinder engines replaced by a 245kW/480Nm twin-turbocharged six-cylinder unit capable of achieving a 0-100km/h time of 5.3 seconds.

With standard features of full LED headlights, sunroof, 360° surround view camera, Artico dashboard, Harman/Kardon surround sound system with DAB digital radio, adaptive cruise control with Pre-safe technologies, and a sports package with 19-inch alloy wheels – combined with a price cut of $2335 over the outgoing E 350 – Mercedes-Benz says the E400 represents a saving of around $20,000.
With 430kW of power, 800Nm of torque and costing $8485 less than the old Performance Pack model, the new $249,900 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model sits at the top of the new E-Class range.

Available in rear-wheel drive only, the AMG S-Model will reach 100km/h from standstill in 4.1 seconds while owners enjoy more standard equipment than the outgoing E 63 AMG (even when equipped with previous Performance Package).
Standard features include an AMG locking rear differential, auto-parking capability, full LED headlights and AMG illuminated door sills. Merdeces-Benz Australia says that while the E63 AMG Estate has not been included in the range at this stage, it believes the $137,700 seven-seat E400 Estate will offer buyers a unique high performance option, with the wagon still able to sprint from 0-100km/h in around 5.5 seconds.

For E 250 CDI and E 400 Estates, the sedan’s 19-inch alloy wheels are swapped for AMG Sport Package 18-inch items.
